In February of 2007, Keith called six of his most musical friends and arranged a meeting. The result of that meeting was the birth of Simply Human. No one in the group had ever sung a cappella before, but each member possessed a deep love of music and an enthusiasm to try something new. They set out to learn just what they could do with the human instrument – the voice – and quickly created an innovative blend of sounds, rhythm, and expression.
While their primary goal has been to build their musical skills, the members of Simply Human also share an ardent desire to build humanity. Another of their goals is to set a standard for how individuals can relate to one another in a harmonious way; the effects can be clearly seen in their joyous and expressive live shows! Each performance gives the group an opportunity to showcase the broad range of their personalities and their synergy as a team.
When they are not busy in the studio recording tracks for their first album, they also spend their time strengthening the a cappella community by directing several new a cappella groups inspired by the achievements of Simply Human.
