Kurt Walker
Raised in Park City, Northern Utah, Kurt Walker began his extensive career in music early in life. During his high school years he won numerous State and Regional Championship with his choral ensemble and was selected to represent his region as a tenor for three consecutive years. It was then that Kurt entered the world of a cappella. The group he created opened for and traveled with many great a cappella groups of the time and was also approached with recording contracts. Yet despite the various musical choices offered to him, he chose to further his classical education at the University of South Virginia. At USV he started an a cappella program, eventually forming 5 different groups, all to whom he was the advisor. One of the groups, Shameless, has since gained nationwide notoriety.

After graduating with a business and music major, Kurt remained active in the a cappella community, representing the State of Virginia on the board of CASA before being asked to become the East Coast representative.

Over the past 10 years Kurt has put together and led workshops with some of the a cappella greats, including John Clark, Samrat and Ed Boyer. He has served as a judge for the ICCA, CARA awards, and Sing. As one of the founders of the a cappella endowment, he is now a board member of the AACI, and serves as the talent coordinator for Sojam.

Kurt remains extremely involved in bringing a cappella to the world, consulting, and critiquing many of the world's premier vocal bands, bringing international groups to perform in the United States, and continues his own singing aspirations with his newly formed group Inverted.

His commitment to the community is furthered by investing in programs that promote music and musical education and the immense amount of time he spends promoting organizations, such as Sojam, and recently A Cappella Innovations, to further express one of his greatest joys - people coming together to express themselves through the art of music.
