Dave Brown
Dave Brown, president of Contemporary A Cappella Society (CASA), was raised in California on a steady diet of Rockapella, Take 6, Bobby McFerrin, and the Nylons. He got his a cappella performing start in high school, where he directed and performed with a men's octet and founded his own co-ed group. At Brigham Young University, he performed for two years with Vocal Point and co-founded and directed the all-female group Noteworthy. Dave helped lead Vocal Point to an ICCA West championship and was personally recognized in that competition for "Outstanding Arrangement."

Dave has remained active with the alumni associations of both groups, helping them each to produce award-winning albums and win ICCA international championships in 2006 and 2007. Dave has served for over two years on the Board of Directors for the Contemporary A cappella Society (CASA), where he now serves as president. He is a frequent contributor to casa.org and he is a judge in multiple categories of the CARA awards. A certified ICCA adjudicator, he produces events throughout the ICCA South region. Dave has been a clinician at a cappella events such as SoJam and the East Coast A cappella Summit, and is thrilled to be making his first appearance at A Cappella Innovations.
