Keith Raniere
Founder, Musical Director, Voice and Sound Coach of Simply HumanFounder of A Cappella Innovations
Scientist, mathematician, philosopher, entrepreneur, educator, inventor and author Keith Raniere has devoted his life to studying the human psychodynamic and developing new tools for human empowerment and expression. From early childhood, Keith demonstrated astounding gifts, including constructing full sentences by the age of one and reading by age two. As an athlete, he was East Coast Judo Champion at age of 11 and excelled in volleyball, tennis, table tennis, diving, swimming, softball, cycling and skiing. By the age of 12, he taught himself to play piano at concert level; his passion and aptitude for music would inspire mastering many other musical instruments. Keith taught himself high school mathematics in 19 hours also at age 12; only a year later, he was proficient in third-year college mathematics and was a professional computer programmer.
Keith entered Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) at the age of 16, taking most of the graduate-level physics and mathematics courses available at the time. Upon graduation he became RPI's first triple major, earning degrees in mathematics, biology, and physics, with minors in philosophy and psychology, and an expertise in computer science.
Considered one of the world's top three problem solvers, Keith was honored in 1989 by the Guinness Book of World Records for having one of the highest IQs in the world with an estimated problem-solving rarity of 1 in 425,000,000. He has intellectual patents pending in the areas of human expression, voice and musical training methodologies, athletic performance, commerce, education and learning, information processing and human modeling, and also holds several technological patents on computer inventions and a sleep guidance system. As an entrepreneur, he transformed a five-person organization into a corporation of nearly 400,000 in a mere two years: in the second full year of business this corporation was responsible for an estimated 1 billion dollars of product sales.
In 1998, Keith co-founded an innovative company designed to advance human potential and ethics through personal and professional development programs. At the heart of the company is Rational Inquiry™, Keith's revolutionary patent-pending technology designed to enhance human performance in virtually every field of human endeavor.
In February 2007, Keith called together six of his musical friends and founded Simply Human, an innovative a cappella performing group. The group, buttressed by the musical applications of Rational Inquiry™ manifested unusual development of humanitarian, expressive and artistic values inspiring in Keith the idea 'a cappella is best shared.' Three months later, Keith conceptualized the creation of A Cappella Innovations, a non-profit organization seeking to advance music, the arts, expression and humanity through the a cappella genre.
