Over the course of my life, I’ve come to strongly believe humans have the potential to live joyfully and harmoniously together. I find proof of this in a cappella: here a group of people can come together from different walks of life, define a common vision and, with hard work, bring such a vision into the world. This art fosters not only the values of expression and creativity, but also the value of humanity itself. It is a commitment to being part of a team, recognizing our participation and understanding how we affect each other. As in a cappella, so in life—I believe if we can bring the process of a cappella into our everyday lives, we will transform our world.
